Before the Waves is a moving-image work developed through performance, atmosphere, and cinematic composition. The film explores the body in relation to emotion, rhythm, and environment, unfolding through gesture and presence rather than conventional narrative.

Positioned between dance film and poetic cinema, the project reflects Bilal Allaf’s ongoing practice across movement, image, and contemplative visual storytelling.
