MOSAÏK - SAUDI
STAGE PERFORMANCE
RIYADH 2026

A large-scale contemporary dance production developed through the adaptation of an original work by Mourad Merzouki. The project brings together local dancers in Saudi Arabia through a structured process of choreographic transmission, rehearsal, and performance, translating an established work into a new cultural context.

This adaptation focuses on maintaining the integrity of the original choreographic language while situating it within a local context. The process emphasizes clarity, precision, and collective execution, while allowing individual presence to emerge within the structure of the work.

The project was developed through a residency-based process focused on choreographic transmission. Original material was taught and rehearsed with the dancers, followed by a period of adaptation to align the work with the local performers, context, and production conditions.

As Associate Choreographer and Show Director, I led the local adaptation and staging of the work. This included dancer selection, rehearsal direction, and coordination across movement, staging, and production elements.
