What I Heard in the Valley
Film Installation
Islamic Arts Biennale 2025
What I Heard in the Valley is a film installation developed for the Islamic Biennale in Jeddah. The work reflects on spiritual listening, landscape, and the body as a site of perception, bringing together moving image, atmosphere, and contemplative attention.
Through a restrained visual language, the project explores how silence, environment, and embodied presence can hold emotional and spiritual charge. It forms part of Bilal Allaf’s ongoing interdisciplinary practice across movement, film, and visual composition.
