Selayem
Saudi folklore meets contemporary dance
Selayem is a Saudi folkloric song. That tells a metaphoric story of Abdullah (An Arabic name, meaning, the servant of god, and often referred to as the suppressed).
In this work —Featuring dancers Gloria Ferrari and Michele Barile— we wanted to dance and interpret Saudi folkloric music in contemporary dance.

A man confronts a robotic dog in a silent room — a surreal, sarcastic, and strangely tender dialogue between flesh and code.
